RHS Rosemoor's Big Draw - Possibly the World’s Biggest Still Life

The Big Draw – Possibly the World’s Biggest Still Life!

Pick up a pencil and join The Big Draw at RHS Garden Rosemoor, as our Garden Room is transformed into a spectacular celebration of the autumn harvest.

Inspired by Rosemoor’s Flavours of Autumn and Europom celebrations, an extraordinary collection of apples, fruit and produce from across Europe will come together to create a huge and colourful still life – and everyone is invited to draw it.

Choose your favourite view and stay for five minutes or five hours! Whether you’re an experienced artist, an enthusiastic sketcher or haven’t drawn since school, this is a relaxed opportunity to slow down, look closely and capture the wonderful colours, shapes and textures of autumn.

Drawing materials will be available to use, or bring along your own sketchbook and favourite materials. You can also choose to add your finished drawing to our growing display and see how other visitors have interpreted the same extraordinary harvest.

Make a day of it and enjoy Rosemoor’s beautiful gardens in their autumn colours, with plenty more to explore as part of Flavours of Autumn. Wander the garden for inspiration, discover the seasonal displays and activities, and stop for something delicious in the Garden Kitchen Café. It’s a lovely opportunity to spend an autumn day at Rosemoor – drawing, exploring and enjoying the garden at one of its most colourful times of year.

Expect live music at the weekends as well as talks, demos from local producers and a magnificent interactive Tall Tales play cafe curated and facilitated by Theatre Alibi for youngsters and their adults.

Everyone is welcome – no drawing experience required. Simply drop in, find a spot and have a go.

Dogs are often allowed in the garden, but sadly not in The Garden Room where this event will be held.
