Hirameki: Doodle What You See!

Hirameki Doodle Workshop - Sunday 18th October 11AM - 1PM
A playful watercolour & drawing workshop for grown-ups and children

What can you see in a splash, blob or wiggle?

Join artist Charly Rhodes at Hopton Hall Gallery for a playful introduction to Hirameki: the art of turning simple watercolour shapes into wonderfully imaginative doodles - in celebration of The Big Draw Festival!

There’s no right or wrong way to do it and absolutely no drawing experience needed. You’ll start by creating colourful abstract marks with watercolour, then use pens and your imagination to discover the characters, creatures and curious things hiding inside them.

Perfect for creative grown-ups, curious kids and anyone who thinks “I can’t draw!”

How it works

The workshop runs as a relaxed drop-in session, with a short guided introduction every 30 minutes.

Choose your preferred start time when booking, then create at your own pace.

11:00am • 11:30am • 12:00pm • 12:30pm

Places around the drawing table are limited, so advance booking is recommended.

Tickets are FREE – all materials included

Come along, make a mess, use your imagination and see what you can find hiding in the blobs!

Charly Rhodes is a local artist whose work is figurative and characterful - she enjoys having fun making creative events for all to explore their artistic side!
