Event description
Draw with scissors and add to a growing collaborative artwork at Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration!
On Saturday 3rd October, we’ll be taking over the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration with a jam-packed and joyful programme of artist-led workshops, drop-in activities, gallery tours and more inspired by this year's Festival theme, Make a Mark.
This free, drop-in workshop will take place in the Studio Garden between 11am-4pm, with opportunities to explore gesture, movement, and collective mark making.
Alex Bowie is a Scottish visual artist and arts producer with a background in socially engaged art, arts education and the therapeutic use of the arts. Her practice stems from ongoing curiosity about the world, its shapes, colours and textures. While painting remains her primary medium, she enjoys exploring new creative processes such as ceramics, printmaking and co-produced public murals. Collaborating with artists from different creative backgrounds to develop multi-faceted and engaging projects is a passion of hers.
Who can join
Everyone, all ages are welcome, whether you're a lifelong artist, an enthusiastic doodler, or haven't picked up a pencil in years.
