Wish You Were Here!

Wish You Were Here! is a whole school creative postcard project inspired by English Heritage’s initiative to bring postcard sending back into fashion, featuring a special series of postcards illustrated by renowned artist and former Chis & Sid pupil, Quentin Blake.

Every pupil and member of staff will receive a postcard and be invited to take part. You don’t need to be “good at art”, there are no right or wrong ways to make a postcard. It could be a drawing, collage, painting, photograph, poem, message, doodle, design, joke, memory, pattern or anything else you can imagine.

The project is all about having a go, being creative and sharing an idea. We want everyone in our school community to have the chance to make something personal and send it into the world, whether you love art or think you can’t draw at all!

We will select 20 postcards to send directly to Quentin Blake, giving him a glimpse of the creativity, humour and personality of the Chis & Sid community.

So pick up a postcard, give it a go and see where your imagination takes you!
