Event description

An exciting day with a focus on land and seascape, looking near and far, recording and responding. Using charcoal and pastel in new and innovative ways, enjoy a day of creative exploration. We will make a simple concertina sketchbook and draw outside, gathering immediate and vibrant images. A group project using colour and brushes will complete the day.

This one day course will be of interest to anyone who would like to find new ways of visual expression responding to the beautiful surroundings of St Ives. About an hour will be spent drawing outside, very close to the studio.

The Big Draw Festival is a worldwide celebration of drawing, with events run by organisations big and small across all different sectors bringing people together through the power of creativity.
