School's Out: Create At Home Summer 2025

Would you like to receive a weekly set of art and craft activity ideas for children, by email, throughout the summer holidays? Each week you'll receive four ideas from artist Isobel Murdoch (with example images) on a different theme, from animals to entertainment & animation. The ideas will be varied and flexible to adapt for different ages, and should only need everyday materials you're likely to have in.

The first ideas will be sent out on Wednesday 23 July, and then each Wednesday, with the final set on Wednesday 27 August. Please note that the start and end times stated refer to when the first ideas will be emailed to you.

Not only is art and craft good fun, it's also good for wellbeing – mindful, calming and relaxing – and a creative way to learn and explore. You can use the ideas at home in your own time, maybe to fill in a rainy day. And there'll be a private Facebook group where you can share how your family gets on with the ideas, if you like.
