Event description

joy is unapologetic
like a marigold
when the sun is out
(poem and picture by Polly Read)

If you enjoy drawing, enjoy the outdoors and nature, enjoy feeling joy please join me in some time dedicated to joy and to explore making marks with a focus on joy. Weather permitting 🙂

Whether it is exploring the flora and fauna, the sea, the clouds, the trees, noticing the sounds, the seagulls, marking your emotional responses, depicting the landscape, the sunlight, mark making itself, or meeting the dog walkers and their dogs. In the spirit of the late David Hockney, whatever brings you in touch with joy we hope to be marking, and experience joy in the process of drawing. As well as breathing in some fresh air!

Open to all. Just bring something to draw with

Who can join

Anyone who would like to share in an hour or two on a Saturday morning to look at the world around us with a focus on joy. Time to draw, rest, reflect and make marks that play with what connects us to joy. Please meet me on Walmer Beach or email me your marks of joy that I can share with others on social media. (Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
