Event description
With 20 years' experience animating, writing, directing and voicing characters on shows like Peppa Pig, Charlie and Lola and Mr Bean, Dan's passion is making comics, and helping others make their own.
This fun, relaxed session starts with Dan drawing a live comic built from the group's suggestions, then everyone dives into their own, using various techniques for bypassing the dreaded blank page, with Dan on hand for tips, techniques, and drawing guidance. All levels of ability are welcome; my aim is to demonstrate that however accomplished you are, you can create fun comics. No particular talent is required, just humour and willingness to get stuck in.
You will leave with renewed inspiration, more confidence in your drawing, and a comic you've made. All materials supplied. B.Y.O.B.
Puzzle Bored is a Brighton-based not-for-profit neurodiverse-aware and inclusive coffee shop, based over 3 floors, where you can make puzzles and play games over coffee.
