This is a taster session for those thinking of studying Fine Art. Workshop introduction: 2.00pm - 2.15pm   We will begin the session with a quick introduction/navigation of the 3-D workshop and H&S/housekeeping.   Workshop outline: 2.15 - 2.30pm   Participants will be introduced to examples of sculpture that has been made using the process of casting a ‘negative’ space into a ‘positive’ object to help them consider how they can turn nothing into something!   Workshop: 2.30 - 3.45pm   Participants will be introduced to the basics of modelling and casting using clay to create moulds with which a cast will be registered in plaster. The process of mixing and pouring plaster, building a relief in clay and revealing a sculpture will be explored over the session with room to experiment with texture, modelling tools and other materials.   Clear up  3.45 - 4.00pm All participants will be welcome to take their work home. to book please email
