Bethany Walker
Part of Young Arts UK Stockhill Park
Wed 25 Oct 14.00 - 16.00
A community event for young people in the Nottingham area. A collective doodle on a mammoth scale. Nottingham artist Bethany Walker is hosting a ‘Doodleathon,’ as part of the Big Draw festival, for young people in Nottingham during the half term holidays. Doodling is an inclusive art technique, something that everyone can get involved in regardless of age or ability. It could just be a simple repetition of a shape or a random abstract mark. You’ll probably find that once you start you won’t be able to stop!  So, come and add your mark on this mammoth ‘doodle’ canvas.

Young people aged 8-18 are invited to take part in our community event. The ‘Doodleathon’ is designed to engage children and young people of all abilities. Whether you love to draw or think you can’t you are welcome to join us. It’ll be a fantastic time for young people in the community to come together, explore their creativity, build new relationships, and have fun.

The event will be filmed, documenting the doodle as it takes shape. We want to get as many young people as possible doodling at the same time, each adding their own style, ideas and improvisations.

Come and join us and get your doodle on!
