Matisse Inspired Colour paper Workshop   Special family friendly art day including drawing in the cathedral on the theme of Matisse Cut Outs. Free (with donations invited). Colourful, creative collage fun for everyone! Come & join in the drawing fun! Be inspired by the decorative shapes found around Worcester cathedral in this year’s Big Draw event, “CUT IT OUT!” Our theme this year is Matisse’s Cut Outs; families can come and learn to draw with colour, creating colourful paper cut out collages inspired by shapes around the cathedral. Add to a large scale collaborative collage and make a small one to take away. Every autumn the cathedral is taken over by artists big and small creating a new cathedral inspired artwork. “Matisse’s cut out “drawings” were famous for their use of pure colour. We hope families will drop in to create their very own Matisse inspired colourful cut out collage of shapes found in the cathedral,” said artist and assistant education officer Sara Hayward who is running the event.
